This was a short film I worked on while attending the Art Institute of Portland. I was brought on by Rachel Fan (director/writer) as a producer and key PA for this production.
As producer my responsibilities were mostly to make sure all the appropriate paperwork was filled out and kept track of (deal memos, location agreements), I also helped arrange location scouting and agreements between location owners and our production.
As key PA I was responsible for several other PAs, making sure we were all as efficient as possible, assisting multiple department heads and assisting actors when necessary.
This production met it's deadlines, was screened, and the director was happy with the end result, so by all accounts this was a successful project. I did learn the value of having a go-bag on set. Someone always needs an extra pen or marker, multi-tool or even a snack or two are good to keep handy.
